Confed Hockey is a volunteer-run club — and that includes the 250 parent coaches and assistant coaches supporting our 60 teams each season. We couldn’t do it without you. Thank you to all of our coaches!

As we prepare for the 2026–2027 season, here’s what you need to do if you’re interested in volunteering as a coach or assistant coach:

✅ Coaching Preparation Checklist:

1. Indicate your interest to coach or assistant coach during your player's registration.

2. Register yourself as a coach or assistant coach through your Hockey Canada Spordle Account. Note: You may need to have your profile transferred to Confed Hockey first.

3. Confirm your Respect in Sport (RIS) - Activity Leaders/Coaches course is valid
   OR Complete The Shift Forward Coaches Course

   • You are new to the role, or

   • Your previous RIS Coaches/Activity Leaders certification has expired.

4. Fill out the Volunteer Screening Google Form to initiate your police check.

5. Complete the police check using the link emailed to you after your registration and screening form is reviewed.

6. Review the coaching course requirements for the level you plan to coach.

7. Complete the Head Coach Application (if applying as a head coach) and email it to
   ? registrar@confedhockey.org
   so it can be shared with the Directors and Hockey Operations.
