U11 - 2013, 2014

U11 hockey continues with the formation of tiered teams that play city wide.  

The players will vary from beginners that are learning basic hockey skills to those that have more experience.

We plan to have 12-14 teams at the U11 level for 2023-2024.

U11 - All

  • A child can register in U11 even if they have not participated in U7-Discovery, U7-JR Timbits, U7-SR Timbits, or U9 hockey.
  • For the 2023-24 season those born in 2013 and 2014 are designated to the U11 program.
  • Tiered teams of 12 to 16 players are formed after an evaluation process that occurs over 2 or more skates during the month of September.
  • The purpose of tiering is to have similarly skilled players on each team that are also playing against similarly skilled players from other clubs throughout the Hockey Edmonton program.
  • Games will be held throughout the city.
  • Locations of practices vary, but will mainly be on rinks throughout the south side of Edmonton.
  • Games and practices will be held on both weekday evenings and weekends.
  • Games will be played with referees and scores are kept.
  • There are regular goalies that have evaluated as goalies on most teams – number of goalies for the particular year permitting.
  • Development of skating and hockey skills considers the skill level of the team.
  • 18 games (full ice) and 20-22 practices (full or half ice) from September to March. Many ice times will be on Saturday and Sunday but there will be weekday afternoon and evening ice times as well.

U11 - Community

  • Cost of the program is $930.00. Save $100 Early Bird until June 30 - pay $830! Fees can be paid in Full or 3 Payments.
  • For U11 - Community, the following will be provided:
    • 18 Games
    • 2-3 team development sessions with a paid hockey provider per year.
    • 18-22 team practices per year.
    • 1 off ice team building activities
    • 1 tournament.

U11 - Development

  • Cost of the program is $1230.00. Save $100 Early Bird until June 30 - pay $1130! At time of registration the base fee of $930.00 ($830 Early Bird) is due and can be paid in full or in 3 payments.
  • For those in the Development program, the additional $300 for the Development program will be charged in September after team placement and can also be paid in full or installments.
  • In addition to the program information under U11 - Community, the following will be provided:
    • Additional 4-5 team development sessions with a paid hockey provider per year.
    • Additional 3-8 team practices per year.
    • Addition of 1 off ice team building activities
    • Additional 1 tournament if available.

U11 - Competitive

  • Cost of the program is $1860.00. Save $100 Early Bird until June 30 - pay $1760! At time of registration the base fee of $930.00 ($830 Early Bird) is due and can be paid in full or in 3 payments.
  • For those in the Competitive program, the additional $930 for the Competitive program will be charged in September after team placement and can also be paid in full or installments.
  • In addition to the program information under U11 - Community, the following will be provided:
    • Additional 6 games (if in HADP)
    • Additional 7-9 team development sessions with a paid hockey provider per year.
    • Additional 22-23 team practices per year.
    • Additional 3 off ice team building activities
    • Additional 3 tournaments if available.
