Confederation Hockey Club
Lost and Found Goalie Program

To give skating players (not full time goalies) an opportunity to tryout in net. Coaches using the LAFGP with two goalies in net for practices can be better organized, faster and more creative using the full ice surface. Because of this not only will the invited goalie benefit, coaches and skating players benefit too.

Coaches responsibilities: By October 15, 2006 contact the Club Development Director with up to three names of skating players interested in the LAFGP. A list will be formulated and returned to all coaches A.S.A.P. When contacting the Club Development Director, please be sure to include the player's name, phone number, team number, category, the coach's name and phone number and whether the child has access to goalie equipment or not.

How it works: The interested head coach checks the novice category on the LAFGP list, then phones the parents of the would be goalie to confirm that he/she can make practice. If dates and times do not conflict, the invited goalie phones their home team coach to confirm that goalie equipment is available. After that it's a done deal.

Rules:
1. Only players on the LAFGP list are to be used as invited goalies. All other players must wait for their name to appear on the next updated list.
2. Only players from same category are to be used (novice goalie invited to novice practice)
3. Invited goalie must use their home team goalie equipment, unless player has extra set.

Contact the Club Development Director for more information about this program.
