Confederation Hockey Club operates a fund-raising bingo program. Click here for details about how the program works. Bingo profits generated from volunteer efforts are used to reduce the cost of not only your child or children but also help subsidize fees for all players in Confederation Hockey Club. Because we have an increased number of bingo dates, families can now work more than the allotted 2 bingo’s per player (Pre-Novice 2 and up). Credit for extra bingo’s worked will be applied to next year’s registration.
Please note: if you claim bingo credits, it is your responsibility to contact the Bingo Coordinator to schedule each bingo pledged and to attend the bingos that you have scheduled.[1] Confederation Hockey Club will try to contact individuals who have pledged bingo’s, but this does not relieve you of the responsibility to arrange and work your bingos.
Confederation Hockey Club will cash the deposit cheques of anyone who fails to:
schedule pledged bingos;
attend bingos that they have committed to work;
provide timely notification‡ if they cannot attend a scheduled bingo.Failure to schedule or work pledged bingos, or to notify the Bingo Coordinator in time about a cancellation [2], may result in the loss of bingo privileges in the following year.
PLEASE NOTE: For many of our Evening and Late night bingos, we require fewer people for the Late night portion. This is denoted under the workers column. Do not assume that by signing up for an Evening and Late night bingo that you will necessarily be working both bingos. In order to ensure you can work both bingos, sign up early.
The following are some of the bingo dates that Confederation Hockey Club will be running for the remainder of this season. Additional dates may be posted on the Confederation Hockey web-site if extra dates become available. If you see a date that is convenient, and you want to secure it, please phone the Bingo Coordinator.

How do Bingos Work? In some hockey clubs, you must work bingos. Confederation Hockey Club recognizes that not everyone wants to work bingos, so we make them available as a fundraising option for those who want to work them. You can choose to pay the full registration fees instead of working any bingos. The only exception is Pre Novice 1 players, who are not eligible for bingo credits.
If you are new to the club, you are limited to two bingos. If you have a returning player and you worked all the bingos that you pledged to work the previous season, you may request additional bingos. The Bingo Coordinator keeps a list of all such requests and calls people on the list as needed. If extra bingos are worked, additional credit will be applied to your registration fees next season.
For each bingo you pledge to work, you deduct $30 from your fees. Also, for each bingo pledged,you must provide a deposit cheque for $60. Each time you work a bingo, one of the $60 deposit cheques is returned to you.
Why is the deposit cheque $60 when the credit is only $30? Because you have taken $30 off your registration fees up front (at registration) AND, if you do not work the pledged bingo, we must pay someone else an additional $30 to work it for you. Furthermore, if we cannot find a replacement worker, the bingo hall will fine the Confederation Hockey Club, and we could lose bingo privileges at that bingo hall.
Please call the Bingo Director if you have further questions about bingos.
[1] The Bingo Associations will fine Confederation Hockey if we do not supply the required number of workers.
[2]Timely notification means notifying the Bingo Coordinator at least two days prior to the bingo.
